Going On Safari Between 2010 World Cup Games? Better Book Now!

Picture 1Planning on taking a South African safari during your time at the 2010 World Cup? Better plan ahead!

South Africa is gearing up to attract over 10-million tourists during the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The tourism board is telling tourist to begin bookings at its national parks a year ahead of the World Cup in order to ensure visitors easy access.

San Parks, which manages 21 national parks across the country, opened bookings for June and July next year to enable tourists who want to be accommodated in any of South Africa’s world-renowned national parks to plan ahead and avoid being locked out due to high demand.

If you plan on going on safari between games South Africa is the place to be – it has five major safari regions and boasts some of the best lodges and wildlife viewing on the continent.

From all that I’ve heard Kruger National Park is the best of the bunch and it is easily accessible from most 2010 World Cup locations – check out  this site for more information on how to book a safari at Kruger National Park.

Akon Named World Cup 2010 Anthem Producer

AkonAkon, who lived in Senegal until he was 15-years-old, has confirmed his involvement in 2010 FIFA World Cup soundtrack project.

“I’m going to South Africa for a meeting about the 2010 World Cup. I’m the official music coordinator. It means I’ll produce the official World Cup song and I’ll oversee all the official music,” the R&B singer revealed in an interview with The London Paper this week.

Watch Rwanda vs Egypt World Cup Qualifier Online

Gago Gives It Up For Kaka

Kaka was introduced to at least 50,000 Real Madrid fans at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Tuesday wearing Fernando Gago’s No. 8 shirt. The Argentina midfielder wore the number for the past two seasons but was more than happy to cede his number to the recent €65 million ($92 million) acquisition. Gago sounds like he is a good sport…and also knows his role on the team.
