Realizing that soccer’s popularity in the U.S. is on the rise and that 2010 FIFA World Cup hysteria is on the way AT&T has signed a multiyear agreement to become the official communications services sponsor of U.S. Men’s National team.

As part of the deal with the MLS and U.S. Men’s and Women’s Nation teams, AT&T will provide exclusive content for fans on wireless devices, personal computers and TVs. Offerings will include behind-the-scenes looks at the sport, player profiles and interviews and post-game highlights.

This is just another example of how sponsors are anticipating a growth of interest in the MLS and U.S. Men’s & Women National teams over the coming years.
